क्विप् प्रत्ययः

Introduction:

This  प्रत्ययः (suffix) converts a verb to a noun.

This प्रत्ययः (suffix) applies to a set of verbs and results in a word which denotes "one who does" the action denoted by the verb root.

धातुः (root verb) + क्विप् = person who does the action denoted by the verb.

Example:

1.1.1 वाग्वित् -> here, वित् = विद ज्ञाने (to know) + क्विप् in other words, वित् is the "one who does" knowing i.e. one who knows.

Introduction:

The घञ् प्रत्ययः is added to a dhAtu to make it into a नामपदम्
